Fall is the season for pumpkin patches and apple festivals, but there’s another crop that’s ready to be celebrated this season: sunflowers. Whether you enjoy walking among these tall and sunny flowers or have dreamed of picking your own to take home and enjoy, you’ll want to visit the family-run Burnside Farms in Prince William County. Take a look at what’s in store for the annual Fall For Sunflowers.
The moment you arrive at the sunflower fields of Burnside Farms, you'll quickly realize there's nothing more magical than a field full of bright sunflowers.
Beginning in late summer, it's the sunflowers that steal the show. The farm offers two seasons of sunflower picking: a short season in late July and a fall season that lasts until mid-October.
The Nokesville location sunflower market is projected to open in early October and will offer unique activities such as sunflower picking and even a giant sunflower maze.
