It’s no secret that Virginia has one of the most impressive craft beer scenes of any state in the U.S. But you may not have realized just how festive these local breweries could get during the holiday season. One prime example is Hardywood Brewery, with locations in both Richmond and West Creek. Each holiday season, Hardywood releases its famous Gingerbread Stout, and let’s just say it’s become something of a cult favorite over the past few years. Infused with ginger and all kinds of spices, it’s bound to become one of your favorite wintertime drinks.
Hardywood Brewery is a beloved craft brewery in Richmond known for its massive industrial space, live music, and an impressive rotation of craft beers. From IPAs to lagers, stouts, and everything in between, there's a little something for every kind of beer enthusiast here.
So what makes it so special? To start, the ingredients are top-notch. Each sip features wildflower honey from Bearer Farms, baby ginger from Casselmonte Farm, and other notes including vanilla, cinnamon, and milk chocolate.
Of course, the Gingerbread Stout isn't the only wintertime flavor you'll want to sample this season. Equally delicious is the Christmas Morning Imperial Milk Stout, with notes of coffee.
