Some things never go out of style. Delicious dining with a focus on good food, family, and community is certainly one of them. For proof of this, look no further than the legendary Jefferson Restaurant. Located in Williamsburg, Virginia, this restaurant opened its doors in 1956 and has been operated by the same family ever since. Four generations later, it’s still among the best restaurants in Virginia. Here’s more on why you’ll want to plan a trip to the Jefferson Restaurant in Williamsburg.
Welcome to the Jefferson Restaurant! Located along Richmond Road, this iconic eatery has served generations of locals and visitors alike.
When its doors first opened in the fifties, one of its most popular entrees, the Porterhouse steak, cost just $1.35, with a side of fries costing just $0.15. And a cup of coffee after your meal? That would only set you back a nickel.
While prices - and many things - have certainly changed since then, you'll find that many of the restaurant's core values have remained the same. That's largely due to the fact that the business has been operated by the same family for three generations.
Photographed above is an illustration of the restaurant in the late fifties. While the interior has been renovated, you'll still notice a warm, inviting exterior.
So what's on the menu at the Jefferson Restaurant? As advertised on the sign outside, "steaks, seafood, and Southern favorites."
No matter what you decide to order, you'll be glad you stopped by this restaurant that values family and community. And you'll likely be back for another visit soon!
