Summer is the season for ice cream. Though this ice-cold treat is welcome any time of year, there’s something about hot weather that makes an ice cream outing nothing short of a festive experience. That’s especially true when you visit an establishment like Flotzie’s in Luray, Virginia. This wonderfully whimsical ice cream stand will put a smile on your face as soon as you arrive. Plus, the ice cream served here is out of this world.
Established in 2003, Flotzie's is nothing short of a legend in the Luray community. As soon as you spot the colorful exterior, you know you're in for a delicious treat.
Don't forget the sprinkles! There are all sorts of delicious toppings to choose from. You can even request that your soft-serve cone be dipped in sprinkles. It's hard to imagine a more colorful or delightful ice cream treat.
Flotzie's is open seasonally and typically begins serving up ice cream in March. During the summer months, the lines can be long, but rest assured the ice cream is worth the wait!
So if you happen to find yourself near Luray on a summer evening, you should definitely add a trip to Flotzie's to your itinerary...you won't be disappointed!
