Today’s destination is one that will completely immerse you in a rugged landscape filled with an epic waterfall, mountain views, and canyon overlooks. Located near Pembroke, Virginia, the Cascades National Recreation Trail features some of the most stunning scenery in Virginia. This relatively uncrowded hiking trail through the Jefferson National Forest is one you won't soon forget.
If you do plan on hiking all the way to Barney's Wall, you should note that the round-trip adventure is just over seven miles. You'll need to pack plenty of water and some food to keep you sustained.
