Many of Virginia’s natural wonders are so famous, they’re known around the country. Some examples that come to mind are the Blue Ridge Mountains, the Appalachian Trail, and the Chesapeake Bay. Yet there are plenty of other treasures waiting to be discovered, and some of them are relatively unknown. One example is Buffalo Mountain Natural Area Preserve. This highly underrated gem can be found just outside of Floyd, Virginia, and if you’re someone who enjoys off-the-beaten-path destinations, you’re in for a real treat.
