Making a good bagel is deceptively difficult. With only a few basic ingredients, one would think the process wouldn’t be very complex and tedious, and yet finding places that make a truly great bagel is something we are constantly in search of, or at least those who are bagel lovers, which is everyone, right? In the rural, lake town of South Hero there is a place that makes one fine bagel. Wally’s Place is one of the best bagel shops in Vermont.
