Champlain Orchards is a family farm that’s one of the oldest continually operating orchards in Vermont. They specialize in growing scrumptious fruits, including yummy cherries!
The farm grows five types of cherries that range in flavor from lively and tart to sugary and sweet. They grow in succulent bunches on leafy trees, with the ripest perched right on top

You’ll be enchanted by all the different colors swaying on the branches! See if you can pick out peach-colored Emperor Francis cherries, the dark Hungarian Balaton cherries, or the classic Jubileum cherries.

If cherries aren’t your thing, this farm also grows yummy blackberries, nectarines, plums, pears, and peaches. Think of all the amazing homemade jams and pies you can make after a visit here.
Of course, you don’t necessarily need to ‘toil’ in the fields to get your cherry fix here (though we highly recommend it!) Cherries and other fruit are available to purchase in the farm store, along with lots of other homemade goodies and baked goods.
Prices and availability for cherries and cherry picking will vary by day and week. If you want the best shot at grabbing the best cherries, head to the farm at the beginning of the cherry season.
Cherries will be available for picking at Champlain Orchards at the end of June. The farm is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Head on down to see what’s ripe!
