Shanty on the Shore sits right on the shore of Burlington Bay, overlooking Lake Champlain. While the shanty itself has roots dating back to 1833 when it was erected as a store, it re-opened its doors as a Shanty on the Shore restaurant in 1985.
To begin, start out with some fried calamari.

Shanty on the Shore offers a full menu complete with appetizers to get your lunch or dinner started. In addition to calamari, they offer escargot, mussels, and soft shell clam steamers.
Indulge in refreshing fish tacos.

As the temps start to drop, you may not be in the mood for cold-served seafood meals. Luckily, Shanty on the Shore has plenty of hot seafood and non-seafood options available to warm you right up!
And of course, it's not a real seafood joint without the lobster rolls.

Nothing too crazy here, just fresh lobster lightly tossed with celery & mayo and topped with lettuce and tomatoes on a delicious bun.
It's also not a bad place to catch a sunset.
