If you are a train enthusiast or just a person that enjoys fabulous food, there’s a restaurant in Vermont for you! What was once a bustling train depot in the early 1900s is now a wonderful restaurant where diners can enjoy a delicious meal amid the relics of the early railroad industry. The Windsor Station Restaurant & Barroom is a completely unique eatery and you’re going to want to give it a try.
The Windsor Depot was constructed in 1901 and was quite an elaborate train station fitted with separate waiting rooms for men and women befitting the Victorian times. Fast forward to the late 1970s and the station was completely restored and converted into the fabulous dining space it is today.
The restaurant is divided into several unique spaces just as the station was originally. Rich hardwood floors and exposed brick walls give the Windsor Station Restaurant & Barroom a warm atmosphere.
The original ticket window, railroad signage, and leather seating keep the history of the station alive. Incredible food and friendly service propel this spot straight to current times.
Start off with a freshly prepared salad. Go for just greens or add steak, chicken, or trout to turn up the flavor even more. As with many of the menu items, you can order full or half sized portions.
Find classic American fare like juicy burgers and spicy wings on the menu. But it's the flavor-filled pasta dishes that will put you right in 7th heaven.
Enjoy the vintage atmosphere of the Windsor Station Restaurant & Barroom for an early dinner or late night bite. Visit this excellent eatery Tuesday - Thursday from 4:40 p.m. - 12 a.m., Friday - Saturday from 4:30 p.m. - 2 a.m., and Sunday from 4:30 p.m. - 12 a.m.
