Once again, Hinesburg was ranked the second safest city in Vermont. With a population of 4600, it's another tight community in Vermont. In addition to classic colonial style homes, you'll find this condo complex in Hinesburg.
Known for its skiing and downtown area, Stowe is one of the most popular
cities in the Green Mountain state. This is the first time Stowe has made SafeWise's top ten list.
Barre Town's ranking stayed the same this year. In addition to being one of the safest places in Vermont, it's a thriving community that's ideal for raising a family.
Although Shelburne dropped to number five on the list this year, it's still one of the most desirable places to live in Vermont. Along with being near Burlington and Lake Champlain, the community's population is just under 8000.
Milton jumped up on the list of safest cities in Vermont this year. Milton is located about 30 minutes north of Burlington and has a population of 11,000.
Like Hinesburg, Essex is located in Chittenden County. Essex remains the 7th on the list for a second year in a row. The city is also the second most populous in the state.
Although Swanton dropped in its ranking from last year, it still made the top ten list. Located in the western part of Franklin County, Swanton is a small community conducive for raising a family.
Manchester is new to SafeWise's list of safest cities in Vermont this year. Located in the southern part of the state, Manchester is a small town with a population of 4242
