This Outdoor Water Playground In Vermont Will Be Your New Favorite Destination
Swimming pools and water slides can be fun during the summer months. But if you’re more of a nature lover, this natural outdoor water playground is a stunning spot to cool down during the hottest months of the year. Awesome rock formations, waterfalls, and an epic swimming spot await in small-town Vermont.

The area got its common name, Three Holes, from the three waterfalls that cascade into three pools. This natural oasis also has an alias and is sometimes called Trout River Falls.

The largest waterfall feeds the upper pool which has the most space for swimming. It is surrounded by tall cliffs on either side so it's often shady. This is the best spot for jumping off the rocks. The second pool is fed by a smaller 8-foot waterfall and is a small place to sit in the water and relax.

The third of the pools is below a 6-foot waterfall and has a good sized swimming area. Splash around or stretch out on a large boulder and enjoy the beauty all around.

From where RT 58 meets RT 118 and RT 242 in the center of town, take RT 242 heading east. You'll see a boarded up school almost immediately on your right side. Follow the train tracks into the woods and after about a five-minute walk, you will arrive at Three Holes.
Have you ever splash around at this outdoor water playground? Or do you have a favorite swimming hole you’d like to share? You can also take a dip at this gorgeous waterfall-fed pool. To see photos of more natural wonders, join our Vermont Nature Lovers Group on Facebook.
