When you think of attractions in Vermont, it’s likely that places like Quechee Gorge or the Ben and Jerry’s Factory come to mind. But sometimes it’s the smaller, lesser-known places which hold some mystery and intrigue that are the true gems.

There is a small museum in Brattleboro that comes alive with humming and booming sounds every year. In some cases, you’ll hear beautiful music and on some days the sounds are more like disorganized noise. Welcome to the Estey Organ Museum where the standard institution rules of “look but don’t touch” are thrown out the front door.

Located in Brattleboro, this little museum is dedicated to the town's Estey Organ Company which produced thousands of organs from the late 1800s up until 1960.

Enter the musical museum and you will see a wide array of vintage and antique organs. All of these instruments were produced right on site in the factory.
