The short and sweet Buttermilk Falls Trail takes you to three waterfalls. This scenic family (and dog) friendly destination is located in Okemo State Forest.
While you can access the trail throughout the year, April through November tend to be the most popular times to hit this hike. If you decide to snowshoe and explore Buttermilk Falls in the winter, you'll be treated to stunning views like this one of the Upper Falls frozen.
When it's warm, pack a bathing suit and a picnic and enjoy the day splashing around these falls. This tends to be a popular swimming hole since the water is calmer in this portion of the tiered waterfall.
