One of the best parts about living in Vermont is the opportunity to enjoy some of the country’s best dining. Perhaps we’re a bit biased, but we believe that it doesn’t get much better than a homemade meal from the Green Mountain State. For proof of this, look no further than the Mooselook Diner. Located in Concord, this charming local spot offers delicious plates in a cozy, heartwarming environment. Whether it’s your first time visiting or your fiftieth, you’ll be welcomed as though you were family. Here’s more on what you can look forward to when you visit this charming New England restaurant.
Welcome to the Mooselook Diner! Tucked away in the picturesque Northeast Kingdom, this local restaurant belongs at the top of your Vermont dining bucket list.
The moment you step inside, you'll immediately notice the down-to-earth, cozy ambiance of a classic diner, which has recently been completely renovated. You'll also notice the unmistakable scent of home-cooked comfort foods.
The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. If you stop by in the morning, you can look forward to a hot cup of coffee and all your favorite classics: homemade pancakes, homemade corned beef hash, biscuits and gravy, made-to-order eggs...you name it!
For lunch and dinner, you'll find an assortment of specialty burgers, such as the one photographed below. As you can tell, portions are wonderfully generous!
The signature burger is called the Mighty Moose and includes one pound of Angus beef, six slices of bacon, and fried homemade mac & cheese. Other menu items include shareable appetizers like hand-breaded onion rings, New England Clam Chowder, slow-roasted prime rib, tender steak tips, fresh seafood from Maine, delicious homemade chicken tenders, or crispy bone-in wings tossed with homemade buffalo sauce. They also offer ice-cold draft beer with frosted glasses, a large
selection of bottled beer, seltzers, and wine.
And don't forget to save some room for dessert! You'll have to ask your server what's on the menu, as desserts are made fresh daily.
And while the food is certainly impressive, it's really the surrounding landscape that sets the Mooselook Diner apart. Enjoy your meal on the back patio or from the glassed-in porch and you'll have a beautiful view of the Mooselook River!
