While Vermont is full of beautiful parks and pieces of nature to escape to, some are just more peaceful than others. This lake in Enosburg Falls might be a larger body of water, but its quietness and peaceful atmosphere will make you feel like you’re the only one on the water. If you’re looking to get away from it all, this remote state park is the perfect place to get some true relaxation in pure Vermont nature.
This beautiful lake within Lake Carmi State Park might be one of our bigger natural spring lakes, weighing in with a 1,375-acre surface area, but yet still will have you feeling all alone on the vast open water.
Lake Carmi is set within a natural area — an area that has been preserved — making it all the more special of a getaway. The bog, shrubs, and trees are all protected by the state to remain in their beautiful form.
This remote lake really is huge. In fact, it's our fourth largest natural lake. Once out on the water in a kayak or on a boat, you won't see anyone for miles.
