During the holiday season, the historic summer home of Robert and Mary Lincoln transforms into a charming destination that’s filled with holiday cheer. Aside from being able to go back in time and tour the home of Abraham Lincoln’s family as if it was Christmas in the early 1900s, feel free to take a winter hike on the grounds. You’ll also be able to stock up on Christmas goodies for your loved ones when you visit the gift shop!

Hildene is located in Manchester, Vermont. To reach the former home of Robert and Mary Lincoln, head to Route 7 North if you're coming from Bennington.

During the holiday season, take your family to Hildene, the Lincoln Family Home so they can delight in how this Georgian Revival mansion is decorated for Christmas.

As soon as you enter this historic mansion, you'll get to marvel at how everything was decorated as if it were 1912. This was during the time the Lincolns spent Christmas here.

Upon visiting Hildene over the holidays, you'll have the option to take a group or self-guided tour.

While meandering through the mansion, it'll be easy to imagine what it was like for the Lincolns to cozy up by the fire during a Vermont snowfall. The fire would've been very welcoming if they spent the day roaming the 400 or so acres on the property too.
