Quechee Gorge, sometimes affectionately deemed "Vermont's Little Grand Canyon," is located in Hartford, Vermont, and is one of the most beautiful spots in Vermont. Enjoy wandering down to and along the gorge.
Lake Willoughby is possibly Vermont's clearest and most serene body of water. The lake is surrounded by the lush Willoughby State Forest, and there are plenty of outdoor adventures waiting for all nature lovers at Lake Willoughby.

3. Green Mountain National Forest (southern Vermont)

Sterling Pond at Smuggler's Notch is a pond on top of a mountain. How cool is that? Hiking is required to get to the pond; the out-and-back trail, which leads to Sterling Pond, is just over two miles long and climbs around 1,000 feet vertically.
