It’s that time of year again! If you’ve been waiting all year to get spooky, this haunted forest walk in Vermont is just the thing. Here’s how you can join in the creepy fun.
Head to the town of Danville for two nights of terror. This October, one of the spookiest haunted events around is coming to Vermont.
The Lamoille Valley Rail Trail will play host to a haunted walk on the evenings of October 18 and 19. The experience will take you between the Danville Town Green and Brainerd Street on the Danville section of the rail trail.
Be prepared for ghosts, ghouls, and goblins to jump out of the bushes and give you a fright! The event is spooky enough to please older participants but not so scary that young kids can’t join in the fun.
Hay rides to the start of the haunted walk will be offered about every ten minutes from 6:30 p.m. at the Danville Town Green. Because the event is being held over two nights, you have some flexibility over when you get the pants scared off of you.
If you’re really feeling the Halloween spirit, you can even sign up to volunteer for the part of a ghoul or goblin. Be sure to practice your best snarl!
To test your courage in the woods, head to the the Danville Town Green to catch a hayride to the start of the walk between 6:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. both evenings. Admission is by donation, so be sure to bring some canned goods for the Open Door charity. After you've made it through the haunted walk, you'll be able to hitch a hayride back as well.
