This unique rural spot in Brattleboro is what’s known as a petting farm. It allows guests of all ages to meet, interact with, and even pet most of the animals on the farm.
You can feed 2,300-pound cows sweet bunches of hay by hand, stroke the farm’s rabbits, and visit with goats in the barn. Let wooly sheep nibble corn out of your hand, hang out with piglets, and even hold baby chicks.
While you explore the farm, you’ll learn all about the role of each animal and how to care for them. The farm’s staff are incredibly helpful and will give you an inside peek at life on a real working farm.
If you somehow get tired of cuddling baby goats and holding tiny chicks, there’s still more to do here. The farm has miles of trails to explore and plenty of shady spots to spread your picnic blanket.
Admission to this awesome spot is just $8 for adults and $6 for children and seniors. Kids under two are admitted for free.
The farm is open from May until October each year. You can drop by Wednesday through Sunday between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. to meet the fluffy and feathered residents.
