Next, the dough is combined and topped with a variety of yummy ingredients. Flavors change seasonally, but you can expect offerings like the Sugarshack sticky bun with maple brioche, maple sugar, and maple-smoked bacon; the Far East bun with cardamom, dates, coconuts, and toasted almonds; or the Bananas Foster with roasted bananas, walnuts, and caramel glaze.
Of course, you can always go for the OG — a classic yeasted brioche bun rolled with cinnamon and brown sugar. Buns are $3.75 each, but you’ll probably be asking for at least a couple.
Most of the herbs, veggies, and fruits used at this bakery come from the pastry chef’s own gardens. In fact, many of the eggs used in the buns are straight from her hens!
The cafe is open Tuesday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Stop by for one (or seven) of the best sticky buns ever.
