Let’s take a look at the Camel’s Hump Trail, one of the best hiking trails in Vermont.
You might not find a more spectacular view in all of Vermont! Hiking to the peak of Camel's Hump is something every Vermonter needs to do.
There are several ways to hike Camel's Hump, but this article will focus on the out-and-back Monroe trail option. To access the trailhead, head to 3508 Camels Hump Road in Duxbury where you will find a small parking area. From there you will see a sign for the Monroe trail.
This trail is on the more difficult side due to its steep and demanding incline up Camel's Hump, but if you can convince your legs to power through, you will be greeted with breathtaking vistas from the top in all directions.
The hike described here is approximately six miles roundtrip. Along the hike you'll enjoy a well-marked path, varied terrain, and beautiful wooded areas.
