Don’t you love a snowy Utah day? We usually get a break from the inversion when a storm blows through, and everything looks like a magical wonderland covered in a soft blanket of snow. Let your kids burn off some energy at the Discovery Gateway Children's Museum. They can get some exercise and find an outlet for their creative energy, too. The museum is located at 444 W. 100 S., Salt Lake City. While you're at The Gateway, swing by the Clark Planetarium, too!

5. Speed down the slopes on an inner tube.
Bundle up, find the nearest hill, and take a ride! You'll feel like a kid again as you speed down the snowy slopes. If you'd rather enjoy the luxury of a tow rope and groomed hills, try Soldier Hollow in Midway.
