Sunny days mean plenty of outdoor fun in the fresh air. Here’s a perfectly picturesque park in Springville, and you’ll want to bring your bathing suit along, because it features a pretty pond with a beautiful beach.
Welcome to Wayne Bartholomew Park! This lovely park is the perfect place to spend a sunny afternoon.
Address: 1090 South 2900 East, Springville, UT, 84663
The park is a little gem in Springville. It's nestled near the foothills and features a huge pond. The views are beautiful!
The pond spans more than three acres, and the clean, clear water is perfect for all kinds of water fun. Bring your kayak or stand up paddle board to explore the pond, or go for a swim.
The pond is stocked with trout, and you'll want to bring your fishing poles to catch a couple. The limit is two fish, and anglers ages 12 and older must have a valid Utah fishing license.
Ducks and geese live here, too. Watch for baby ducklings and goslings in the spring and summer months.
Amenities at Wayne Bartholomew Park include five large pavilions that accommodate groups from 20 people up to 40. There's also a snack shack, which opens around Memorial Day every year, restrooms, and a volleyball court (you can check out volleyball equipment here, too).
The sandy beach is a favorite for visitors. Bring an umbrella or sun shelter and some beach chairs and hang out all afternoon.
Kids will enjoy building sand castles and digging moats in the sand, and everyone can go for a swim.
The pond is up to 15 feet deep, and there are no lifeguards here, so make sure your little ones are wearing life jackets and keep a close eye on them.
You'll need a parking permit to visit Bartholomew Park from May 1st through September 30th.
Springville residents may receive one free permit per household by applying at the Civic Center, Clyde Recreation Center, or the Parks and Recreation Office. Photo ID and proof of residency is required. Non-residents must pay $10 to park.
