We may be experiencing a mild spring, but hot summer days are right around the corner and it’s time to start thinking about summer fun. The best way to cool off when the temperature climbs is to head for a water park, and this wacky park is about to open for the summer. Check it out!
If you've ever driven through Draper on Interstate 15, you've noticed Cowabunga Water Park on the east side of the freeway. It's pretty hard to miss, with its brightly-colored, wacky design.
The park is located at 12047 State St., Draper, UT 84020.
The park has two sections. Cowabunga Beach offers 2,500 square feet of zero-entry, water-splashing fun. You'll find more than 300 interactive water toys, and you'll want to keep an eye on the huge 1,500 gallon bucket overhead. It slowly fills up...then dumps all its water on unsuspecting beach-goers below!
Cowabunga River is a 600-foot-long lazy river that's lined with spraying surf boards and tikis. Float along on a tube, or just let the current carry you.
The littlest water lovers will enjoy Cowabunga Kids Cove, an area designated just for them. You'll find small slides, fountains and plenty of watery fun.
Hours vary, depending on the day of the week. Click here for a complete summer calendar.
