Cats are curious creatures. Some are cuddly and friendly; others are inquisitive and aloof. No matter what their personalities, they’re all fun to hang out with, and you can do just that at Tinker’s Cat Cafe in Salt Lake City, while you enjoy coffee and delicious pastries.
Tinker's Cat Cafe is Utah's first cafe that features adorable cats who are looking for a furrever home.
The cafe offers all kinds of tasty treats, including delicious espresso, lattes, drip coffee, and tea, and also has fresh pastries from City Cakes, Pastry Arts and Les Madeleines.
Visits to the cat lounge require a reservation (though you can often get a spot by walking in). You'll get to meet these furry felines in person, and play with, cuddle, and watch them for an hour.
The visiting time with the cats is limited so they're not too stressed out. They also have a little door that leads to a special cat room where people aren't allowed, so if they need a little break, they can take one.
These kitties come from Salt Lake County Animal Services, and they've all visited a veterinarian, have been spayed or neutered, and are micro-chipped. They're looking for furrever homes, and hanging out at the cat lounge while they wait.
There's a bulletin board in the cafe that gives you more information about each kitty, so take a look and see if you think one of these pretty kitties will fit well in your family!
It's $8 per hour to visit the Cat Lounge. Children ages 10 and younger pay $6. Children ages eight and younger can visit on Thursdays between 5-6 p.m. for Children's Hour.
