Archibald Gardner, a Scottish immigrant, was one of the original pioneers to reach the Salt Lake Valley in 1847. In 1853, Gardner and his family worked hard to build the first flour mill on the west side of the Jordan River. More than two decades later, the original flour mill was moved and a larger one was erected in its place.

The historic flour mill and the silo are still standing today and are the center of this shopping area. In fact, Archibald’s Restaurant is located inside the historic flour mill and you’ll definitely want to try it.

From mid-September to October 31 each year, Gardner Village celebrates all-things witches. You’ll see costumes, decorations, food, shows, and more during this annual festival. Witchfest brings thousands of individuals to this small stretch of shops in Utah.
