Zion National Park is one of the busiest national parks in the entire country and for good reason — it is breathtaking. From its unforgettable hiking trails to its stunning overlooks, it’s one of the best ways to immerse yourself in some of Mother Nature’s greatest creations. One of the most popular ways to get around this park is the Zion Canyon Scenic Drive. However, throughout much of the year, this road can only be accessed on a shuttle. Fortunately, this isn’t the only scenic drive in Zion National Park that is worth exploring. There is another beautiful drive that we can’t recommend enough — Kolob Canyons Road.

Can you drive through Zion National Park?
Yes and no. During this national park’s peak season (March through late November), access into Zion Canyon is by shuttle bus only. This means that to visit many of the most popular wonders in this park, you will need to ride the shuttle and private vehicles are not allowed. However, other areas of the park, including Kolob Canyons, are open to private vehicles throughout the year. You can learn more about the Zion shuttle system and private vehicle restrictions on the Zion National Park website.
