Do you love cats so much that you already have several at home? Or maybe you’re a true feline aficionado but your loved ones are allergic. Perhaps you’re finally ready to add a cat to your family, and you’re looking for a new furever friend. No matter what your reasons for wanting to visit, you should definitely stop by Tinker’s Cat Cafe in Salt Lake City.
Tinker's Cat Cafe is the first cat cafe in the Beehive State, and it opened in November, 2017. You'll find this unique cafe at 302 E. 900 S., Salt Lake City, UT 84111.
It was painted by Geri Cordova, and it's absolutely charming. Make sure to get a good look at it while you're there - it's on the west side of the building.

The Cat Cafe is open to patrons Tuesday through Sunday.
No reservation is needed to come and enjoy coffee and pastries in the Cat Cafe. Hours are Tuesday through Thursday 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Friday and Saturday 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Sunday 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.; closed Monday.
All puns aside, the coffee here is really tasty. It's roasted locally at Rimini Coffee, and you can get a catpuccino, mocha or drip coffee. If tea is more your gig, grab a camomeow tea. The menu is full of fun cat-pun items!
You'll find all kinds of scrumptious pastries here, like these vegan cinnamon rolls from City Cakes.
Tinkers limits the number of visitors to the Cat Lounge in order to maintain a healthy, calm environment for the cats. There's an $8 cover fee, and you can make your reservation on Tinker's Cat Cafe's website here. Sometimes spots are available for walk-ins, too.
The Cat Lounge was designed with both people and cats in mind.
It's filled with comfy seating, climbing and snuggling space just for cats, and even a little cat portal that lets cats go into a back room if they're overwhelmed by people or just need a little break.
Make the leap and move in together! All of the cats at Tinker's Cat Cafe are up for adoption through Salt Lake Animal Services, and Tinker's would love nothing more than to help every homeless cat find a new furever home. Every cat has been vaccinated, microchipped and given a medical exam before coming to Tinker's Cat Cafe for adoption.
