The Historic Union Pacific Rail Trail runs from Park City to Echo Junction. One of numerous rail-to-trail projects across the country, this trail offers 28 miles of scenic views and it’s perfect for mountain biking, running, skate skiing and Nordic skiing.
Though the rails have been removed, this trail was once a railroad track that carried coal and silver ore during the silver mining era in the late 1800s.
Whether you're riding your mountain bike the entire trail or just going for a brief stroll along a portion of it, you'll travel through some of Utah's most beautiful scenery along this trail.
You can spend an entire day on The Historic Union Pacific Trail, or just a few hours, depending on your schedule. It’s well-suited for people of all ages and abilities. No motorized vehicles are allowed on the trail, so it’s safe for everyone.
