Lisa loves animals and has dogs, rats, cats, guinea pigs, and snakes. She is passionate about animal rescue and live music - traveling across the country to see a favorite band is a pretty regular occurrence! Being out hiking in the woods enjoying the scenery with her beloved dogs is another favorite hobby, and also checking out the Pokemon Go scene in whatever city she happens to be in at any given time (coffee and dog leash in hand). Many think bookstores are going the way of the dodo bird. With the ease of online ordering, it’s difficult for actual stores to stay in business. Any bookworm has to admit, though, there’s something special about the atmosphere in a brick-and-mortar bookstore. Here in Utah, we are blessed. There are so many bookstores in Utah that it can be overwhelming to choose what one to go to. One that we’re particularly fond of is the magnificent Pioneer Book. The used bookstore has been open since 1980 in Provo.
The store's entrance even resembles a bookshelf! The charm continues when you walk inside.
Inside, you'll find two levels. The lower floor is for non-fiction and children's literature, and the upper floor is for fiction and young adult works.
The staff are eager to help you find whatever you need. The store carries a wide variety of used books that are well-organized so you can browse to your heart's content or look for a specific item.
Even if you aren't a bibliophile and are just looking for coffee table books for decorations, Pioneer has got you covered! They also have a section of books arranged by color in case you are looking to fill a decorative color-coded bookshelf.
