A vintage drive-in is a charming place to get a juicy burger, order of fries or onion rings, and a thick shake. Here’s a 1950s drive-in that offers all of that and more. Check out Pace’s Dairy Ann Drive-In:
Gordon and Elizabeth Pace opened Pace's Dairy Ann in 1957, and the family-owned drive-in has been a local favorite ever since.
Today, the third and fourth generations of the Pace family operate the restaurant, and it still has many of the same classics it offered in the 1950s. You'll find this little gem in Bountiful.
The menu includes several different burgers, a chicken sandwich, corn dog, foot long hot dog, and more, but the house specialty is the Country Boy - a one-third pound classic burger.
Back in the 1950s and 60s, the Pace family also had five ice cream trucks that traveled from Provo to Ogden to deliver tasty treats. One of the trucks is restored, and you can usually see it in front of the restaurant.
Astro Bars are the homemade frozen treats created by with a special family recipe. They come in cherry, peach, grape, root beer, lime, and tigers blood.
