By this point in the summer, you’ve probably already visited a cool water park, taken a hike to a gorgeous lake, and eaten more huge ice cream treats that you should have. Let’s be honest: you’re tired, you’re broke, and the kids are still bored for a few more weeks until they go back to school. No worries! Throw the little darlings in the car and head to Murray Park. It’s a beautiful spot with playgrounds, an outdoor aquatic center, and an amphitheater that provides low cost entertainment all summer long.

This park is a little oasis on a hot, summer day. It's full of large trees that provide tons of shade, and Little Cottonwood Creek runs through the park. Bring a picnic and stay all day.

As the sun starts to set, head over the the Murray Amphitheater to see a show.

Evening performances include a production of Little Women, a Mama Mia Movie Sing Along, and the Murray Acoustic Music Festival. You can even bring in your own food and drinks to enjoy during the show.

Ticket prices vary. Little Women runs August 9th, 10th, 12th, and 15th-17th at 8 p.m.. Tickets are $10 for adults; $8 for children and seniors. The Mama Mia Movie Sing Along takes place on Saturday, August 24th at 9 pm.. Admission is free. The Murray Acoustic Music Festival is Monday, September 2nd at 6 p.m. Tickets are $5, children 12 and under are free.
