Camping overnight in Utah’s beautiful wilderness areas is one of the best ways to reconnect with nature and loved ones, but some of our more popular campgrounds can be pretty crowded. The Mt. Timpanogos Campground is often less crowded than others, and it’s absolutely gorgeous.
Surround yourself with natural beauty at the Mt. Timpanogos Campground. You'll find it on the Alpine Loop Scenic in American Fork Canyon.
Campsites include picnic tables and fire pits, and the campground offers flush toilets and drinking water, but the sites are rustic and don't include electric hookups.
You'll enjoy a peaceful, quiet stay here, because RVs must be less than 20 feet long to fit into these sites. You'll be spared the loud, disruptive noise of televisions blaring from huge motorhomes. ATVs aren't allowed here, either.
Smaller groups and smaller camping trailers means that wildlife can wander through the campsites without being scared away, so keep an eye out for pretty mule deer and even an occasional moose.
