When cold weather arrives in Utah, you don’t have to say goodbye to fresh produce. Rather, you can plan a visit to Salt Lake City’s Winter Market! This weekly event on Rio Grande Street in Salt Lake City is where you can buy fresh produce, delicious food, locally-made products, and other goods despite the chilly temperatures outside.
When snow is falling, you can still enjoy fresh produce, just like you did during the summer months. At Salt Lake City’s Downtown Winter Market, you’ll never have to give up your weekly trips to the farmer’s market.
Held each Saturday from the middle of November to the end of April, this market is where you can connect and support local farmers despite the cold weather.
The market is held on Rio Grande Street in downtown Salt Lake City. There are multiple vendors set up, allowing you to easily shop while staying warm and dry regardless of the weather outside.
While vendors and products will change from week to week, just like a typical farmers market in the summer, all season long you’ll be able to purchase an assortment of fresh produce. Including herbs, vegetables, and more, there are all types of offerings to choose from.
The market is open every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. We suggest arriving early as many products, especially certain types of fresh produce and baked goods, can sell out very quickly each week.
You can park in the parking garages at The Gateway and receive one hour of free parking or, if you wish to stay longer, you can park on the street in the nearby neighborhood for two hours free of charge.
