What Are The Best Places To Eat Near BrickSlopes?
Salt Lake City is a bit of a dining hub, and these are two of our favorites.
- Chuck-A-Rama is Utah's signature buffet, with around ten locations across the state - including one in Salt Lake City, just a half-hour's drive north of the convention center. The specialty here is Mormon comfort food with a touch of campfire cooking, so you'll find all the classics - homemade rolls and jam, carving-board meats like turkey and ham, potato casseroles, fried chicken, and daily specials including barbecue or Mexican food - plus a lot of delicious desserts to end the meal!
- Oasis Cafe is located in the same area of Salt Lake City, less than thirty minutes from the convention center, and this enchanting garden restaurant has become a cult favorite in the area. A luxurious retreat in a relaxing dining room filled with plants, this charming modern American restaurant serves a popular brunch as well as light but satisfying dishes for lunch and dinner. If the weather is nice, the beautiful patio is a wonderful place to dine.
What Are The Best Festivals In Utah?
- Payson City Golden Onion Days might just be the only onion-themed festival around, and that's why it's so beloved. Held over Labor Day every year, this nearly century-old institution is best known for its parades, fireworks, and produce competitions as people bring the biggest and best around to show off. There's also a car show where some of the best vintage cars in the state are on display.
- The Skinny Tire Festival is a spectacular four-day event taking place every May in the destination town of Moab. You'll want to be ready for a ride for this one - this is a massive bike ride through Red Rocks, a national park, a state park, and so much more. Even if you're not up for the full ride, there are plenty of stunning views along the way for those who join for part of the adventure.
