Salt Lake City has a wonderful blend of old and new buildings. There’s one historic brownstone that’s wedged right in between two sleek, modern buildings right downtown, and it’s home to a delightful restaurant with a talented chef. Check out Martine Cafe:
Martine is located inside one of the city's most historic brownstones. It's squeezed in-between two much more modern buildings, and you'll find it next door to Eccles Theater and across from City Creek.
Martine has been well-known for its Spanish tapas since it opened in 1999, and it does still serve some tasty small plates, but the restaurant has made some changes over the years.
Chef Eric Heath has been nominated twice for a James Beard award, and he has a unique approach to the food he creates. From the sandwiches on the lunch menu...
Martine sources local, fresh ingredients whenever possible. This tasty burger is topped with Beehive Promontory cheese and served on a fresh brioche bun from Eva's Bakery.
Martine also offers a full drink menu with house crafted cocktails, beer, wine, and spirits. It's the perfect place to stop in for a drink before or after seeing a show next door.
Visit Martine Cafe for lunch Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., and for dinner Tuesday through Saturday starting at 5 p.m.. The restaurant is closed on Sundays.
