Utah is known for many things and there are many landmarks that draw in thousands of visitors every single year. However, what many people don’t know is that Utah is home to an International Peace Garden. In fact, this is only one of two peace gardens in the entire country and it certainly deserves a spot on your bucket list.
The International Peace Gardens are located in Salt Lake City, right along the bank of the Jordan River. This area features 12 acres of beautiful vegetation, gardens, and more that you can walk through and enjoy.
The gardens are designed to represent the cultural diversity of more than 25 nations. Each nation is given a plot to plant and grow native vegetation and place garden architecture. Their mission is to create a place of beauty, mediation, and, of course, unity and peace.

There is a flat and paved path that takes you throughout the gardens. The accessible trail is perfect for wheelchairs and strollers and you can even bring your furry friend along for an adventure.
The best time to visit the gardens is from May to October when the flowers are in full bloom and the weather is warm enough that you can fully enjoy each and every display.
Throughout the summer, there are also various events and festivals held at the gardens. While each event is different, they give you a look into various countries and their traditions.
However, you can always just visit the International Peace Gardens in Utah to enjoy a quiet day or bring the entire family for an educational outing. Either way, the International Peace Gardens in Salt Lake City is the perfect day trip destination.
