Located across the street from Liberty Park in Salt Lake City is Tradition, a small restaurant in Utah that is certainly making a name for itself. Here, you can not only enjoy the laid-back and casual atmosphere, but you can also enjoy some incredible comfort food. It’s a great place to think about your own traditions and maybe even start a few new ones while you dive into dishes that are seriously going to excite your taste buds.
Tradition opened in 2017 in Salt Lake City. The current building sat vacant for decades until the owners transformed it into the restaurant that we know and love today.
The interior of Tradition is simple, casual, and comfortable. You’ll notice the small details give this restaurant its own personal touch and it boasts a vibe that makes you want to return time and time again.
The menu offers delicious comfort food, and every dish has some ties back to the owner’s own experiences and traditions. Tradition serves dinner seven days a week and brunch every Saturday and Sunday.
Smaller plates are also available if you are looking for something a little lighter. From salads to fried-green tomatoes and funeral potatoes to Malaysian chicken wings, there is quite a variety and something to satisfy most cravings.
If you love brunch, Tradition is not going to leave you disappointed. Every Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. you can enjoy a delicious meal. Try a traditional breakfast with eggs, potatoes, bacon, and pancakes, or maybe try something a little different like chicken and pancakes.
Whether you visit for dinner or for a weekend brunch, we strongly recommend placing a reservation. If not, you may find yourself waiting in line for a table — but believe us, it is worth the wait.
