When you think of fall foliage in Utah, you probably think of the mountains in the northern part of the state. The Wasatch Range does offer some incredibly beautiful scenery this time of year, but did you know that Southern Utah also has plenty of autumn leaves? Even our red rock country breaks out into some surprising reds, yellows and oranges. Check out Kolob Canyons at Zion National Park!
The Kolob Canyons Section of Zion National Park is one of the best kept secrets of the park. It's 40 miles north of Zion Canyon, so many people miss it completely.
Now that it's October, most of the tourists have gone home for the season. While you won't necessarily have the park to yourself, it's much less crowded in the fall.
October really is the perfect time to visit Zion National Park. For more information about Utah’s most popular national park, visit the park’s website.
