Utah’s small businesses are what makes our state great. Sure, you can go to a big box store to buy a stack of books, but why would you do that when you can visit a quaint, charming little shop that’s filled with friendly, knowledgeable people who are readers themselves?
King’s English has a special place in our hearts, and it’s one of our favorite places to feed our book addictions. We love to visit the shop in person, but we recently discovered that we can also order online, and they’ll ship our supply of books right to our front doors. Check it out:
The King's English bookshop has been a neighborhood favorite since it opened in 1997.
It's located in the 15th and 15th area of Salt Lake City, and it's one of the most charming bookstores ever.
You could spend hours and hours browsing the shelves here. You'll find everything from fiction to travel to cookbooks, and if you're not sure what to read, you can always ask a member of the staff.
This is a great time to stock up on all the books you've been meaning to read, but if the shop is closed to the public, where will you stock up on books?
You could order from a huge, online website (we won't name any names), but why would you do that? Shopping locally helps small businesses like The King's English continue to provide excellent service in the community.
So, if you can't visit in person, how can you help? Order online!
That's right - The King's English offers online shopping right on its website. Click here to browse books, and if you scroll down a bit, you'll find a search bar on the right side of the screen.
If you'd rather wait til you can pop into the shop in person, consider buying a gift card for your future purchases. You can also send one to friends and family member as gifts, so they can shop at home, too!
Purchase gift cards right from the home page of the website. Look for this image about halfway down the page, on the left side of the screen. Click on it to add a gift card to your cart. If your ordering as a gift for a loved one, you can even include a personalized note and have it shipped directly to them.
Visit the The King’s English website to see what’s new and check out its online offerings. Make sure to follow the bookshop’s Facebook page to stay abreast on the newest book releases, too.
