If you are like me, there’s nothing quite like a hot dog. Whether you like it covered in ketchup and mustard, plain, or covered in all types of delicious toppings, hot dogs are delightful no matter the occasion. Here in Utah, we have several hot dog joints but one that you need to check out is Hangry Dog in Sunset. This unique hot dog shop serves street-style hot dogs, tacos, and other delicious food items and you’ll want to visit multiple times to try a bite of everything on the menu.
Hangry Dog is a small restaurant located at 289 W 1300 N in Sunset. It’s certainly not a flashy restaurant and you may not even know it exists, but it’s one place you’ll love trying.
Of course, you’ll want to try a hot dog at this unique restaurant in Utah. All of the hot dogs are a 1/4 pound and you can choose from options like a classic dog, chili dog, danger dog, or a Sonora dog.
The danger dog, for example, is certainly going to excite your taste buds and features a bacon-wrapped hot dog topped with fried onions and bell peppers. Mayo, mustard, and ketchup are optional.
While the hot dogs are certainly delightful, they aren’t the only food you need to try at the Hangry Dog. This restaurant also serves authentic tacos and burritos. Try the street tacos (yum!), a chile verde burrito, or the Hangry Taco with melted cheese, meat, beans, pico, homemade guacamole, and more.
If you love fries, this is the place to go. While you can choose from traditional fries, there are also hearty options with all types of toppings like bacon cheese fries, Philly cheesesteak fries, carne asada fries, and more.
For more information on this restaurant in Sunset, including its current hours and menu items, visit the Hangry Dog website.
