Utah’s Ice Castles have been delighting visitors since 2011, and since then, the company has expanded to offer ice castles in six locations across the country and even in Canada! If you’ve never seen this magical place, you need to put it on your bucket list for 2019, because it’s coming back again:
Utah's Ice Castles got its start in Brent Christensen's front yard. He built an ice castle to entertain his kids, and soon kids from all over the neighborhood were showing up.
You'll find the castles in Dillon, Colorado; Edmonton, Alberta; Excelsior, Minnesota; Lincoln, New Hampshire; Lake Geneva, Wisconsin; and right here in Midway Utah! The address for the Utah location is 700 Homestead Dr., Midway, UT 84049.

Ice Castles isn't open yet - the weather needs to be consistently cold enough that they won't melt! But don't worry - crews are waiting and working on the castles whenever they can.
You'll want to make sure to wear a good pair of snow boots, too. The floor of the castles are made of crushed ice, so they can be a little slippery, and very cold.
No matter when you go, you'll want to get your tickets in advance. You'll sign up for a time slot with a 30-minute arrival. Once you enter the castles, you can stay as long as you want!
Learn more about Ice Castles and buy your tickets online on the website, and follow the company’s Facebook page so you know the very minute that they’re open this year! If you’ve visited Ice Castles in past years, we’d love to hear about your experience in the comments, and if you’ve never been, tag the friends and family that you want to join you this year!
