Utah’s cities have some excellent fine dining choices, but there are a few off-the-beaten-path hidden gems in the Beehive State’s smaller towns, too.
Travel to the tiny town of Torrey to find one of the best restaurants in the state: Hunt & Gather Restaurant.
Hunt & Gather Restaurant got its start in 2000, and it's garnered some attention from food critics all over the country. This little dining spot was even named a 2021 Traveler's Choice by Trip Advisor.
You'll find this little gem in Torrey, a rural community surrounded by some of Utah's most beautiful scenery. It's nestled right up against the boundary of Capitol Reef National Park.
You may be in a tiny town, but this is fine dining at its best, and every ingredient is carefully curated for the best possible culinary experience. We suggest starting with the charcuterie board, which includes local cheeses from Mesa Farm Market.
The dinner entrees are offered in two different categories: Hunter and Gatherer. On the "Hunter" side of the page, find delicious options like Orchard Wood Smoked Duck and Broken Arrow Elk.
On the "Gatherer" side, find tasty options like Powell Forest Mushroom Risotto, and the Sleeping Rainbow plate with chilled fresh fruit and grilled veggies.
Do you need a reservation? It’s highly recommended! Call 435-425-3070 to make yours, then check out the Hunt & Gather Restaurant website to take a look at the menu. You’ll find some mouthwatering photos of current specials on the restaurant’s Facebook page.
