During the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, Utah’s rural places are a welcome respite from all the hubbub. Check out this charming ranch that raises alpacas – it’s hosting a holiday open house, and you won’t want to miss it!
Blue Moon Ranch got its start in 1989. The family-owned and operated ranch is run by Linda Gardner and her husband Ed Heintz.
Linda Gardner - Blue Moon Ranch Alpacas
The ranch is located at 3535 S. 1000 E., Woodland UT 84036, but it can be a little bit tricky to find. For directions, click here.
The ranch is home to some of the most beautiful creatures on earth - alpacas!
During the Open House, you'll find a fire pit to keep you cozy and warm, and you can say hello to the alpacas. Enjoy some tasty refreshments, and finish up your holiday shopping.
You'll find tons of soft, hand-spun alpaca yarn that's perfect for gifting to a friend who loves to knit. If you're the crafty one, knit up a hat or scarf for the holiday season.
You'll get to meet the alpacas up close, learn about the history of these amazing animals, and even see a demonstration of fleece being spun into yarn. Tours are an hour long, and should be reserved at least 48 hours in advance. Email linda@bluemoonranch.net to request one!
Learn more about Blue Moon Ranch on its website, and follow its Facebook page, where you’ll find tons of beautiful photos (Linda is quite a talented photographer). Are you dying to meet these adorable alpacas? Tell us if you plan on attending this fun holiday event!
