You can find some pretty extraordinary things on your hikes in Utah. From the most gorgeous overlooks to petroglyphs and waterfalls, some hiking trails in Utah are unforgettable. Fish Mouth Cave Trail is a lightly-trafficked, lesser-known trail in southeastern Utah that offers some pretty incredible features including a cave and ruins. It’s one hiking trail in Utah that you’ll be glad you explored.
The Fish Mouth Cave Trail is located near the small town of Bluff in the southeastern part of the Beehive State.
Despite the fairly flat path, Fish Mouth Cave Trail is still considered a challenging hike. The trail itself is covered in loose rock and gravel. You will want to make sure you wear excellent hiking shoes on this Utah hike.
Make sure as you explore these ruins that you are careful and respectful. These remarkable structures should stand for years to come and be available for future generations to enjoy.
As you continue your trek, you’ll be able to see the cave. While the trail doesn’t take you into the cave, you can climb over many rocks and loose rocks to reach it. Be aware this can be quite a dangerous climb and isn’t encouraged.
If you do venture into the cave, be respectful. This cave is frequently vandalized and is often covered in graffiti.
