This 3-Story Bookstore In Utah Is Like Something From A Dream
If spending an afternoon browsing through a bookstore sounds like heaven to you, then you need to head to downtown Salt Lake City. The bookstore at 254 S. Main Street has long been the state’s largest independently-owned bookstore, and it’s absolutely huge.

Bret Eborn is a book collector with a passion for collecting rare and used books, and Eborn Books got its start with a small bookshop in Layton in 1989. In 2012, Sam Weller's Books, which had occupied space in the David Keith Building since 1964, moved to Trolley Square. Eborn Books moved in. This store is the largest independent bookstore in the state.

The store consists of three floors: the main floor, an upstairs mezzanine, and a cavernous basement. This place is a book lovers dream!

The massive store has books crammed into every nook and cranny. Most of the inventory is consignment, which means that you'll find a vast selection here that most book shops simply aren't able to carry in their inventory. The company also sells its inventory online, and you can find 500,000 titles to choose from.

The basement in this old building is pretty musty, but there are tons of treasures down there waiting to be discovered.
