If you love ice cream, you’ve got to try rolled ice cream. Never heard of it? Check out this little Utah dessert cafe that makes it fresh while you wait.
The next time you're craving an ice cream treat, try something new and head to Doki Doki. You'll find it right across the street from the Salt Lake City Main Library downtown.
Doki Doki offers delicious crepes and hand-rolled ice cream. This delicious dessert comes from Thailand, but it's a trend that's satisfying cravings pretty much all over the U.S. right now.
Rolled ice cream is made differently than traditional ice cream. The tasty base with sweet milk and flavorings is poured onto an extremely cold steel plate. Once the confection is frozen, it's carefully scraped off the plate in rolls.
Doki Doki has nine different rolled ice cream desserts. If you're a chocolate-lover, you'll certainly be in heaven with the chocolate rolled ice cream topped with cookies, chocolate chips, and more.
The Tahiti treat is a favorite here. It's made with vanilla rolled ice cream and mango, banana, and tropical fruits. You can't go wrong with any of the treats on the menu.
You can also get your rolled ice cream in a fresh, homemade waffle taco. Is your mouth watering yet? Visit Doki Doki Tuesday through Sunday from noon to 10 p.m.
