If you love wine, you probably love to try new varieties, but at many restaurants you only have a few by-the-glass wines to choose from. It’s tough to order a whole bottle of something you’re not sure you’ll love, but unless you take a trip to a vineyard, wine tastings in Utah can be few and far between. You need to visit BTG Wine Bar! It has more than 75 different wines, and you can sample all of them.
BTG Wine Bar has been a Salt Lake City staple for years. It moved to its new home in the Eagle Building last summer, and if you haven't visited yet, you've got to see this beautiful new space. You'll find the entrance on the side of the building to the north.
Many of the historic, architectural details of the building were saved, and other new features were added. This pretty wine bar is definitely a unique gem.
...or sit up at the gorgeous marble bar. Either way, you'll be assisted by friendly, knowledgeable staff who can help you choose several wines to taste.
BTG stands for "By The Glass," and the name perfectly describes the wine menu. While most restaurants offer only a select few varieties by the glass, you can sample every one of the more than 75 wines here one glass at a time.
BTG Wine Bar is the perfect place for a gathering with friends and family, so order something to share. The five cheese board, charcuterie board, or baked Chevre are all good choices to pair with your glass of wine.
The Bites & Desserts menu also includes some sweet treats like dark chocolate cake, tiramisu, and cheesecake. Pair it with a glass of dessert wine, and you have a decadent spread.
If you're looking for a full meal, Caffe Molise is right upstairs, and its menu is offered here at the wine bar until 9 p.m. on weekdays, and 10 p.m. on weekends.
Stop by BTG Wine Bar to explore new wines and delicious food in a beautiful, historic atmosphere. It's open Sunday through Thursday from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.; Friday and Saturday til 1 a.m.
