Every pinnacle is unique and beautiful in its own right. Together, they create a jaw-dropping scene. It's hard to imagine the thousands of years of erosion that it took to create these magnificent formations.

Bryce Canyon's elevations are as high as 9,100 feet, so if you're visiting during winter months, dress warmly in layers. Bring along some traction cleats if you're planning on hiking - ice and snow on the trails makes them slippery.

According to the National Park Service, Bryce Canyon National Park welcomes sixty percent of its visitors between the months of May and October. Visit during the off season, and you'll find fewer tourists at the viewpoints.
