Utah has tons of jaw-dropping vistas and overlooks, and you could spend years capturing all of them on film. Here’s one of our favorites, and you’re going to want to visit soon.
Inspiration Point is one of 13 viewpoints that you'll find along the 38-mile long scenic drive at Bryce Canyon National Park.
It's often underrated - Sunrise, Sunset and Bryce Points all seem to garner a lot more attention.
As you can see, this overlook is incredibly scenic.
From the viewpoint, you can see for miles. In the foreground, the amphitheater looks both intriguing and a little forbidding; in the background, the vista stretches out under an endless sky.
The hoodoos line up in the thousands here, and when the light is just right, you can capture every detail and crevice.
Every pinnacle is unique and beautiful in its own right. Together, they create a jaw-dropping scene. It's hard to imagine the thousands of years of erosion that it took to create these magnificent formations.
When there's a skiff of snow, the view is even more enhanced.
Bryce Canyon's elevations are as high as 9,100 feet, so if you're visiting during winter months, dress warmly in layers. Bring along some traction cleats if you're planning on hiking - ice and snow on the trails makes them slippery.
According to the National Park Service, now is the perfect time to visit Bryce.
According to the National Park Service, Bryce Canyon National Park welcomes sixty percent of its visitors between the months of May and October. Visit during the off season, and you'll find fewer tourists at the viewpoints.
Heed the call of this majestic place. Take a moment to sit, relax and be inspired by the sweeping views at Inspiration Point.
Bryce Canyon National Park has long been a favorite place for Utahns and visitors alike. Check out these vintage photos of the park, dating back to the 1920s.
